Welcome to Mesa Verde United Methodist Church!
Thanks for visiting us online.
We are a caring and accepting family of seekers, believers, and doubters. We are united in knowing we love one another and that God loves us. We are open to everyone—those with questions, those looking for a spiritual home, and those with faith stories to tell. We believe in growing in grace, having fellowship and fun, and in making a difference in the world.
Mesa Verde UMC is a reconciling church. We affirm that through God's redeeming love for all, we are one in Christ. We respect the inherent and valuable contributions each member makes to the body of Christ. We celebrate our diversity and recognize the sacred worth and dignity of all persons regardless of sexual orientation, gender identification, race, age, ethnicity, physical or mental capacity, education, or economic or marital status.

In the Know
If you are shopping for school supplies and notice inexpensive college ruled spiral notebooks and can nab a couple for Jeff Shaw, it would be great. Jeff, the son of Ben and Susan Shaw, teaches English at Moreno Valley High School where the students are financially distressed. The district can no longer supply very many of the notebooks. If you can help, please leave the notebooks in the church office with Shannon. Be sure to put your name on them so Jeff can thank you.
Sunday School children should go into church first thing for a Moments with Children. Then they will go to their classes.
Emergency Cards Now Available
Emergency cards are now available in the narthex and in the church office. Each person in the con-gregation is encouraged to fill out an emergency card and turn it in to the church office. The information on your card can save precious time if it is necessary for us to call the paramedics while you are at the church. It also provides us with contact information for your family should we need to reach them. We realize that the emergency cards contain personal and private information. Be assured that they will be kept in a secure location in the church office and that your information will be kept confidential. For more information, you are welcome to contact the pastor.
New Prayer Request Cards
Green prayer request cards are available on Sunday mornings in the seat pockets of the chairs. You are welcome to fill out your prayer requests in order that they may become a part of the prayers of the community. Your prayer requests can also be communicated with the office in this way so that they will be included in the prayer chain.
Love to sing?
Come join us for Summer Choir! We meet at 9:00 a.m. on Sundays in the Sanctuary to rehearse one anthem to be sung during the service. No experience or commitment required. Open to all – come sing with us!
The new flower chart is up in the narthex. Please sign up to put flowers on the altar. Fresh cut flowers from your own garden (no, you can't pick the neighbors' blooms) are welcome!
Brown Bag Food Distribution Program
Mesa Verde UMC is honored to be part of Second Harvest's Brown Bag program. It is open to seniors 60 and over whose income does not exceed $1,354/mo. per person or $1,821/mo. per couple. Grocery Sacks Needed for Brown Bag Program
We are in need of standard grocery store paper bags for the Brown Bag Program. Please drop them off in the kitchen or the church office.
We need greeters! Please take a moment to sign up on the bulletin board on the patio this Sunday!
