Welcome to Mesa Verde United Methodist Church!
Thanks for visiting us online.
We are a caring and accepting family of seekers, believers, and doubters. We are united in knowing we love one another and that God loves us. We are open to everyone—those with questions, those looking for a spiritual home, and those with faith stories to tell. We believe in growing in grace, having fellowship and fun, and in making a difference in the world.
Mesa Verde UMC is a reconciling church. We affirm that through God's redeeming love for all, we are one in Christ. We respect the inherent and valuable contributions each member makes to the body of Christ. We celebrate our diversity and recognize the sacred worth and dignity of all persons regardless of sexual orientation, gender identification, race, age, ethnicity, physical or mental capacity, education, economic or marital status.

We would like to make the liturgist schedule a bit more reliable than the current system of signing up on the bulletin board. If you would like to serve as a liturgist in a future rotation, please contact the church office or write the word liturgist on the back of your Friendship Register card.
Due to new guidelines from Orange County Department of Health, we will no longer be permitted to serve home prepared food, but rather we must serve purchased, pre-made food. As a result of these changes, we will be soliciting cash donations instead of food donations. It is estimated that the cost will be approximately $150 per month. We appreciate your support over the past 30 years, and we have faith that our congregation will continue to support this mission project. In the narthex, you will find envelopes and a deposit box for your donations. Please make out checks to MVUMC with Hospitality Kitchen noted in the memo space.
Need an Extra Phone Directory?
Please see Barbara Stewart on the patio or stop by the church office during the week. We are asking for a donation of $5.00 each.
UMW Cookbooks Are Available
Cookbooks are available! All proceeds to benefit the “Imagine No Malaria” campaign.
Sign Up For Amazon Smile!
There is a new way to donate to Mesa Verde United Methodist Church–by shopping with Amazon. When you sign up, Amazon donates a portion of what you spend to our church! It costs nothing and signing up is simple.
Go to https://smile.amazon.com and sign in using your existing Amazon user name and password. If you’re not already an Amazon shopper you can create them. You will log on and be able to choose MVUMC as your charity. Choose us by typing in Mesa Verde United Methodist Church. If you use the standard amazon.com link your shopping will not benefit MVUMC, so be sure to change your bookmark or favorites link to https://smile.amazon.com.
You will be on the full Amazon.com website, but in the upper left corner of your screen it will say, “Supporting Mesa Verde United Methodist Church.” Now you can support the church simply by buying what you want online!
Sunday School children should go into church first thing for a Moments with Children. Then they will go to their classes.
Prayer Request Cards
Green prayer request cards are available on Sunday mornings in the seat pockets of the chairs. You are welcome to fill out your prayer requests in order that they may become a part of the prayers of the community. Your prayer requests can also be communicated with the office in this way so that they will be included in the prayer chain.
The flower chart is not up in the narthex. However, please sign up to put flowers on the altar. Fresh cut flowers from your own garden (no, you can't pick the neighbors' blooms) are welcome!
Brown Bag Food Distribution Program
Mesa Verde UMC is honored to be part of Second Harvest's Brown Bag program. It is open to seniors 60 and over whose income does not exceed $1,354/mo. per person or $1,821/mo. per couple. There is no charge. Qualified participants may participate in other food programs, as well. See the calendar above for dates of distribution.
Grocery Sacks Needed for Brown Bag Program
We are in need of standard grocery store paper bags for the Brown Bag Program. Please drop them off in the kitchen or the church office.
We need greeters! Please take a moment to sign up on the bulletin board on the patio this Sunday!
