Welcome to Mesa Verde United Methodist Church!

Thanks for visiting us online.

We are a caring and accepting family of seekers, believers, and doubters. We are united in knowing we love one another and that God loves us. We are open to everyonethose with questions, those looking for a spiritual home, and those with faith stories to tell. We believe in growing in grace, having fellowship and fun, and in making a difference in the world.

Mesa Verde UMC is a reconciling church. We affirm that through God's redeeming love for all, we are one in Christ. We respect the inherent and valuable contributions each member makes to the body of Christ. We celebrate our diversity and recognize the sacred worth and dignity of all persons regardless of sexual orientation, gender identification, race, age, ethnicity, physical or mental capacity, education, or economic or marital status.

Bible Study Led by Pastor Brent

Pastor Brent leads a weekly (more or less) Bible study on Wednesday mornings at 9:30 am. Everyone is invited. We  meet in the conference room in the Administration Building.

Sunday School

Sunday School children should go into church first thing for a Moments with Children. Then they will go to their classes.

Prayer Request Cards

Green prayer request cards are available on Sunday mornings in the seat pockets of the chairs. You are welcome to fill out your prayer requests in order that they may become a part of the prayers of the community. Your prayer requests can also be communicated with the office in this way so that they will be included in the prayer chain.

What's New

Relive our Lord's entry into Jerusalem and the anticipated joy of his resurrection on Palm Sunday, Mar. 29. The kids will process into service bearing palm branches, celebrating Jesus' entry into Jerusalem. After second service, there will be a potluck supper for all and an Easter egg hunt for the little ones! Sign up on the patio or contact the church office. For more information, see Allison Rudalevige.

What's Doing

It’s that time again – our annual Birthday Luncheon, held Apr. 18 this year! Twelve delightfully decorated tables, each representing a month of the year, and sometimes an extra table or two with additional themes. It’s a delicious luncheon followed by entertainment. A tradition at Mesa Verde UMC, it’s an event you won’t want to miss! Tickets tend to sell out early, so be sure to get yours ASAP! For more information, contact Margaret Dean or the church office.

What's Up

The Peace, Environment and Justice Team encourages everyone who is able to participate in another community outreach activity in celebration of Earth Day. We will volunteer in an Orange County CoastKeeper beach cleanup in Huntington Beach Apr. 11. Church family members of all ages are welcome. Come and help clean up our beaches and oceans while enjoying the fresh air and fellowship. For details, contact Carlene Reuscher or the church office.

What Else

Save the dates of April 25-27 when internationally known author and church consultant Dr. Kennon Callahan will be with us for a three-day consultation. Dr. Callahan is the author of Twelve Keys to an Effective Church and many other helpful books for churches and church leaders. He will engage us in several conversations over the course of the three days to help us plan and vision for the future of Mesa Verde UMC. This event is open to all.
