ABOUT OUR UNITED METHODIST WOMEN'S UNIT We have an active group of United Methodist Women, with a full roster of officers. We offer opportunities for fellowship in the form of occasional brunches with programs of interest to women and sometimes also to men.

Seven circles offer friendship and fellowship and are open to all interested women:

DAYTIME BOOK CIRCLE meets the second Tuesday during the school year at 10:00 a.m. usually in members' homes. Meetings include the reviewing of a book, devotions, and refreshments. The co-chairs are Eva Coutu and Barbara Boies.

EVENING BOOK CIRCLE meets the third Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in various homes. Watch for dates, locations and books to be reviewed. Betty Jo Steel leads the group.

KNITTING / CROCHETING CIRCLE meets on the third Tuesdays from 2 to 3:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Beginners are welcome. Contact Barbara Lacey or Eva Jamar for information.

MIRIAM CIRCLE usually meets the fourth Tuesday at various times, at various locations. You're invited to help out one month of the year by planning or co-hosting an activity.

SCRAPBOOKING CIRCLE meets on an irregular schedule. Watch the bulletins and The Mesa Message for information. They usually meet in the Fellowship Hall. Our consultant will be there with supplies and ideas. Contact Jamie Korando for reservations and more information.

STAMPING CIRLCE meets monthly on a Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Carla Ganio, an independent representative of "Stampin' Up," supplies the fun; there is a charge for materials. Cherie Korando chairs this group. Call her the Wednesday before the scheduled meeting.

WHOLLY PIECERS' QUILTING AND SEWING CIRCLE meets the first Thursday of nearly every month in the Fellowship Hall, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Everyone is welcome, whether you quilt, sew or do needlework, even knitters! If you have any questions or problems with a project, we have some very talented ladies who are more than willing to help. Bring your lunch and join us. Contact Betsy White for any questions.

Watch the bulletins and this page for specific information about these circles and our brunches.
