The church cat hears all, sees all, and tells all! However, she can't write. She depends on you to send in the news about you and your family happenings to share with the rest of us. Leave a note in the Narthex on the credenza or put it in the offering plate. She'll get it and pass it along.

BLOOD DRIVE—The next blood drive at Mesa Verde is Monday, August 25, from 1 to 7 p.m. If you would like to sign up, please see Lynda Wood (if she doesn't see you first). Also, tell your neighbors and friends. We need more blood!

Heard around the Sunday School—we still need Summer Sunday School teachers. This is a low-risk, high-reward ministry opportunity that is only one Sunday this summer!

Check the bulletin board on the patio and see which Sunday needs you the most. The children and you will benefit!

Did you hear? The Membership Committee is preparing a new non-photo church directory. They ask that you stop by the table on the patio and check your information and initial the sheet for verification. If you have any questions, please contact Taye Inadomi.

Mission News.....Many thanks to our Mesa Verde Japanese Fellowship, members of the Missions Commission and our middle school Sunday School class, we will be donating 40 Health Care Kits to UMCOR at Annual Conference in June.

Each kit contains a hand towel, washcloth, sturdy comb, nail file or fingernail clipper, bath-size bar of soap, toothbrush, 6 adhesive plastic strip sterile bandages, plus a dollar is given for the purchase of toothpaste. The emergency kits are carefully planned to make them usable in the greatest number of situations.

Since strict rules often govern product entry into international countries, it is important that kits contain only the requested items - nothing more. My Sunday School class' contribution was to assemble the kits in zip loc bags. If you do the math, you can see that the cost runs up on these 40 kits.

Thank you again to those of you who donated.

Lynda Wood
